Odyssey International Days 2025

From May 12 to 16, 2025, the 13 schools in the Odyssey Education group, spread across 12 countries, will come together to celebrate the Odyssey International Days. This annual event, now a much-anticipated tradition for our school communities, highlights the cultural, linguistic, and human richness that lies at the heart of our group’s identity.

The 2025 edition is built around international project-based learning and features three major collaborative achievements:

  • a collective cookbook,
  • a puzzle book of math challenges written by students,
  • and a shared choreography filmed across the globe.

A Culinary World Tour

From Hanoi to Casablanca, students rolled up their sleeves to showcase the culinary specialties of their countries in a shared recipe book: Banh Mi, Flemish meatballs, ostropel de pui cu mămăligă, kanom babin, flognarde... Throughout the week, school cafeterias take on the flavors of a global food tour. Dishes from the cookbook are served at lunch, and some schools host friendly community meals where parents are invited to bring specialties from their regions.

Puzzles to Solve and a Shared Choreography

Another unifying project is the Odyssey Puzzle Book, filled with math challenges imagined and written by students themselves. Inspired by their daily lives and the “Maths in Real Life” approach, these visual puzzles offer creative and logical challenges, tackled throughout the week in schools across the network.

The highlight of the week: a common choreography, performed by students and filmed at each school. The final video will be screened as the grand finale of Odyssey International Days 2025. Parents, teachers, and children will enjoy discovering the faces and talents of students from across the network through this joyful, festive performance.

Local Highlights and a Vibrant Odyssey Spirit

In addition to these shared projects, each school brings its own unique flavor to the celebration. At the Institut International Saint-Dominique in Rome, students are building a “Kindness Word Wall,” reading stories in multiple languages, and hosting families for a warm, multilingual breakfast. At the Lycée Français International of Antwerp, an international art day and an International Talent Show extend the celebration through Saturday. In Skopje, May 16 will be marked by a festive day full of cultural food stalls, creative workshops, a photo exhibition, and the unveiling of the EFE Palmes award plaque. Through these initiatives, the Odyssey International Days fully embody the group’s mission: to offer every student an excellent education, rooted in their home culture and openly connected to the world. A beautiful demonstration that—even separated by thousands of kilometers—we learn, create, and celebrate together.
