The ELA Dictation: A Meaningful Act of Solidarity<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

On <\/span>Tuesday, 14 October, our elementary students will proudly take part in the <\/span>ELA Dictation<\/b> (\u00c9cris pour agir \u2013 <\/span>Write to take action<\/span><\/i>), a symbolic and impactful initiative organised by the <\/span>ELA Association<\/b> to raise awareness of leukodystrophies, a group of rare genetic diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is more than just a dictation. It\u2019s a powerful opportunity for students to reflect on the meaning of solidarity, inclusion, and empathy \u2014 and to contribute, in their own way, to a cause greater than themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Special Occasion at La Petite Ecole<\/b><\/h3>\n

This year\u2019s event holds special significance, as <\/span>La Petite Ecole will have the honour of welcoming Mr Nolain, <\/span>Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy in Singapore, who will be reading the dictation to our students. He will be joined by <\/span>Mr Cario, <\/span>Deputy Director of AEFE, making this a memorable moment in our school\u2019s journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

A short assembly will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the main hall to present the initiative and share the official ELA video. The dictation will then take place in each classroom, where teachers will adapt the activity to suit their students\u2019 levels and needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Dictation Followed by Action<\/b><\/h3>\n

In the spirit of \u201cwords into action,\u201d this meaningful writing activity will be followed by a <\/span>solidarity run, scheduled for the week after the mid-term break. During the week of 11 October, students will receive <\/span>fundraising booklets, allowing families and friends to sponsor their efforts and support ELA\u2019s cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why It Matters<\/b><\/h3>\n

At La Petite Ecole, we believe that <\/span>education extends beyond the classroom. Initiatives like the ELA Dictation help our students become not only better learners, but also more compassionate citizens of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
