Through play, exploration and discovery, children build their knowledge and gradually develop their independence.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the heart of the family-friendly and multicultural Holland Village neighbourhood, the school is organised around a flexible central shared space connecting the classrooms and administrative offices. As a vibrant hub for school life, it reflects the strong sense of community at the heart of our school. It also encourages collaboration across classes and provides an ideal setting for complementary learning activities in small groups, beyond the traditional classroom environment.<\/p>\n<p>The space includes a bright and welcoming library, an area for physical and movement activities, a play corner and a green wall reflecting the school\u2019s commitment to sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>School is not simply a place for academic learning: it also plays an essential role in every child\u2019s overall development and wellbeing. Children are better able to learn when they feel safe, supported and understood. We therefore strive to provide a secure and nurturing environment, together with support tailored to each child\u2019s individual needs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A multidisciplinary student support team<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To support every aspect of each child\u2019s development, La Petite Ecole in Singapore draws on the expertise of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.<\/p>\n<p>A full-time school nurse is available on site to monitor students\u2019 health, provide first aid and contribute to health education and prevention initiatives. A school psychologist is also present one day a week to support children, families and the educational team whenever needed.<\/p>\n<p>The school also works closely with an occupational therapist and with French- and English-speaking speech and language therapists.
